Click to view attachmentClick to view attachmentClick to view attachmentOn Sunday I took the kids out to see Enid's new puppy. She also had an extra one there for her nephew in Stroud. Now I want a new puppy.
Oh by the way I am not allowed to post photos of Ellie as Lily has taken over. She has decided that she is now going to breed Koolies when she gets older and has joined the forum. She still is having trouble posting as we now have the internet at home. Thanks for taking care of her. I will now take a back seat and let her find things out.

Hi Royalla
Enid's pup is Meg the larger one of the two and she is 3 months old. She purchased her from a gentleman who uses them to work his cattle. The other little one that Lil is holding and also the other photo named puppy she purchased for her nephew from another farmer who also uses them for sheep and cattle. She will eventually be able to breed from both these using her old line.
I love Spencer he is so beautiful but the OH said that we can't have anymore animals at the moment (much to the kids disappointment and mine). They would like a kitten too but Scott said they kill all the native birds and wildlife.

Hey ellies mum I hope taking a back seat doesn't mean your not going to be around much, that's just not on.
Lilly will need to go to school perfect time for you to drop in without her hoarding the computer.
It will be nice to have a mother and daughter team on the forum.
My daughter would also love to get on the forum but thankfully she is 17, doing HSC and has a very full and active social life so doesn't nag at me for time on the internet.
But when time permits she hangs over my shoulder to catch up and give her opinions on discussions that interest her, like the myths one at the moment.
I think we are all a bit hooked on that one, and I've just thought of another point to raise so best shoot off.
Love the photos, will Enid be bringing meg with her to Qld, I hope she does.
Another red merle I'm begining to see a pattern here.
I think Enid might prefere the reds, what do you think.
I wonder if they might work better or is it just the colour that draws her to them.

Hi TJ
She actually told me she is partial to reds and Ken (her late husband)loved the blues. We looked in Megs mouth as well and found she was almost all pink. Enid said Ken would have looked at that and said she would be too soft on the cattle. Well time will tell. The other little one was mostly brown and a little pink.
I think the forum will be good for Lily, not only for information but also it might help her over her shyness, everyone is so terrific and I think it will give her confidence (as well as improving her spelling and grammer)

What a cute little puppie!!!! You will always have time while you are at work to check out what is going on Ellie's mum. I will be starting a new job in a months time so I might not get as much time to be on the forum anymore

Just be sure you both keep time available for the priorities, like coming to the forum.
Thanks for the feeedback on the mouths Em.
I have another theory that I am collecting information on which is related to the mouths pigment and at what point does it appear.
Because we all have adults the results have been fairly general.
But if we could learn when the pigment appears then we may learn more about the koolie.
The litter that I have are all pink mouthed, even the solids, very interesting, I will follow their progress and check each day and then get their owners to radomly check to see if anything appears before they are 12 months.
We may learn that like some coat colours their pigment or at least the pigment on the nose and in the mouth can change over time and that it is possible that all Koolies are born with pink mouths only to colour up over time.
So keep an eye on Meg and we will see if there are any changes, it might be handy for future reference to take a couple of pic.
I can't help turning everything into a science project.
Lilly is lucky because she will be learning everything first hand and doesn't have to over come preconceived ideas like most of us here who have formulated their own theories.
I hope she enjoys herself and doesn't hesitate to say what's on her mind.
The modirators will keep an eye on her and make sure no one is naughty or missbehaves.
And she is more than welcomed to send emails to gather even more info.

Georgeous dog, and your daughter looks lovely she has the sweetest smile. I am also partial to reds both in dogs and the wine. lol.
I would also love to get another puppy but OH says "no way" but with this block of land we are puchasing I may have convinced him about being a foster home.

Hey we can always do with more on that frontline.
But just watch out, we have a lousy track record with keeping them fosters.
Too many slip into owners

I don't ask about a new dog, I just turn up with it.... when I got Smith I just said that "I have to go to the Cairns Airport, do you want to come" and he said yeh ok what do you want to go there for??
Well after the first three Koolies that flew in to Cairns airport you would think that he would wake up wouldn't you???
He didn't comment much...

Now don't you listen to naughty persons who incourage mischief.
Mum and Dad will always do what's best, at least that's what I keep telling my daughter.
