Well they are not mine, I put an add on Petlink seeing if anyone needed there horses exercised in my area, and a lovely couple emailed me saying they do not have time to ride there horses and would love me to ride them anytime I would like.....

I am going meet them tomorrow....I am so excited
They are both 16h, one is a bay standard gelding and the other is a chestnut thoroughbred gelding. She said they are a bit fat, because they don't get to ride them much...but I will get them fit again!!!

I would love to have a couple of horse's myself as my hubby and I go riding when ever we can but we only have 1 acre....when we get some more land we will probably get some.....

I told my hubby to look out because after riding these 2 I will want to get my own.... There are a lot of properties near us that we could agist on...but I think I would want them near me...

No Worries....I have received 3 more emails since the other day offering me to ride people's horses, and I got one this morning from a lady not far from me with horses, looking for someone to ride with her while her kids are at school....

Lucky, lucky you, keep this up and you'll be rideing a different horse every day of the week.

I went today to meet the owners of the horses and the horses...I had a quick ride around the paddock on one of them so they could see if I could ride....I am going on a long ride on Monday with one of the owners, Hannah....

The couple that own the horses are so lovely, they were really nice to me, their horses are great too...

They have 2 geldings, and one Mare ( that they think is in foal) they are going to find out in the next couple of weeks...gee I hope she is, I would love to be around a foal!!!!

Anyway I took my camera, and they were more than happy for me to take some pictures...

The first is Bruce, he is a rescue, they have had him for a few years, he is 27 years Old, he can still be ridden but not worked too hard...he is so gentle...these are not the best photo's I took them after we washed him..

This is their other Gelding, he is part Frisian...he is so lovely....he does mostly what you ask of him...he has a few bad habbits they said the last lady that use to ride him taught him..but he is a good boy...he loves apples...I took them some, it was really funny he was chasing me to get them...I think my bribe worked!

I know I laughed about there names also....Nigels full name is Nigel Lovelace...he has a heart on his face...he use to be a pacer.

The name is from the Paul Hogan Show, it was one of his many characters. I have been racking my brains and it finally clicked (a very slow process). We have the DVD here.

You were really fortunate to get all those replies, as well as game, riding horses you weren't familiar with ....

I have ridden Nigel 3 times now, I took him outside the paddock for the first time yesterday, we only went on a short ride for about half hour.
It was the first time he had been out of his paddock since the EI, he was very happy to see some of the horses that live up the road from him, it was really cute, they were neighing to each other....

And he's nice to ride?

Yes he is a good boy, very easy to ride.

Update, Nigel is going really well. We are getting use to each other now. He coming running up to the fence when I pull up in the car and loves going on rides. He has lost a bit of weight so he isn't such a fatty anymore.

The second horse is my friends Lisa's Grey par Arab( Lochie), we went riding on Noosa Beach last week. They are horses she compete's with in Endurance racing.

I am going again next week. ( I would love to get into endurance)

Lochie is such a stunning boy, he was a real pleasure to ride.

Nigel's got a heart on his face! Sounds like he's a sweetheart and he must be enjoying the outings especially if he's greeting you now!

Totally off topic but Bluedog where did you get your gargoyle in your avatar from? I love that kind of gear, I have some wicked looking fairies in my room (they are definately not the sweet & innocent kind).

I'm glad you like Gar!! He has a brother Goyle!! They are the keepers at my front door!! Weirds some people out. I found them completely unexpected up in the Hunter Valley (Pokolbin) one day, pointed at them and told my husband they were my birthday present, much to his distress (he thinks I'm weird). I love them and give them a hose down and wash every now and again you could swear they have a big grin on their faces after! I keep on the lookout for more to add to the garden!
