My beloved Yardi lost her short battle with cancer yesterday and has crossed over the rainbow bridge.
I will forever miss my devoted shadow, like a typical cattle dog, she followed me on every trek all over Australia for 13 years, shared the laughs, the tears, but was always there....
Farewell my best friend.

My heart goes out to you JackieH.
I had a similar situation last year with our Sheltie/Border Collie, with liver cancer. He was 13 also, and was still as active as ever and never had that 'old dog' look about him until about the last couple of months of his life.
He was my little escort. Hubby always used to say he knew when I was going to walk into the shed, because Lucky would always come in first, then look to the door until I walked in.

I'm sorry to hear it Jackie-they are our best friends-even better because they ask so little of us. Sounds like she went with you by her, and out of pain.

So sorry to hear that you lost your beloved Yardi. Always hard when you lose a dog that has been with you through the tough times and good, and always there with their love. Big hugs to you.

There are far too many good dogs going to the bridge at the moment = I am so sorry about Yardi.
