And we are supposed to be an enlightened generation.
Disgust is too soft a word.
I couldn't complete watching the video but I saw all the frames.
I am so ashamed, god I can't even think to reply.
What the hell does the government do, nothing by the looks on that page.
I wish I could say it was only America.
But investigations are underway here in Australia and the findings make me heave.
That good people should have to sneak about taking hidden footage and document the pain, before anyone believes and then does anyone act?.
God people wake up, this is not too big a job for one person.
It only takes one person to stop looking the other way, one person to stop swallowing the garbage and that person knows another, and another, then your not one person, but a group, who can lobby for changes, start with your local councils, follow it through, push the door open and make them listen.
Don't remain apathetic, don't pretend this only happens in other countries.
Visit your local shelter, take the blinkers off, they don't want your money, they want your anger, your energy, your signature, your voice.
You can't stand there and call yourself human unless your prepared to accept the responsibility for this shame, accept it and change it.
Don't just read this and turn to the next post.
As I write this I am surrounded by ten Koolies all asleep on the floor at my feet, I am preparing to bring another little nine month girl from NSW to join the six Koolies that have come into the rescue since January.
I am one person and I make a difference.

I am totally shocked like,greeneyes...I am shocked that people do not report these people..and I cannot understand how people work for these shabby companies

I have contact the various local TV stations and also passed this on
to my alumni associations. I have been very cautious in who I decide in my patronage for pet supplies and food items - and this is a reminder for me to
revisit on the various brands to see who else deserves my patronage. The TV stations here do alot of exposé reports and I sure hope at least one of them will air the issue.

I am going to see what the Ralph Nader organization and the pet loving community here will do... plus I am sure the Hollywood celebrities here will have a field day and a good excuse to rally on loudly.
