Jack and Jill went up the Hill to make a Litter of Puppies....that is right folks.... Love is In the Air.

Just wanted to share with my Koolie friends…. We are waiting for conformation of our Koolie Union. Jack has been most amorous and little Miss Jill is very impressed. We have been meeting with our veterinarian AI specialist all this week tracking Jill’s progesterone levels. We have had a number of natural connections but we wanted to insure strong breeding so our vet suggested tracking Jill’s level and then performing AI. So this is our course of action and we are very excited. We will keep everyone up to date as things progress…..

Jack is so wonderful…. He took her dinner, brought her flowers and snuffled her ears….oh the romance…..

Now he really needs to win her over with chocolates,but "chocolate is'nt good for dogs" ( use the voice of the kid from the Oreo commercial here)
so he willhave to send them to ME!!!!

Quick update… all went well yesterday. Jack had wonderful little swimmers….. Checked the little guys out under the microscope…. Really cool.

The Fertility Specialist that we are working with is still just amazed that Jack is 11 years old. She can not get over it. She said that she has never seen a male look so good for his age. She also was amazed as his output…. Normally she does not get such productive samples for dogs ½ his age. Big smiles on my face…

My mom went with me since Mr. Karolina Koolie had to work. She was an absolute hoot…..she is really taking on the Grandmother roll…. While we were preparing to implant, mom got to hold the little specimen… she was all smiles and I asked what she was smiling at and she “because I am holding my grandkids”….. TOO FUNNY!!!!!

All things seem to be going well so far…. Can you tell that we are excited? This is going to be a very spoiled litter of pups….and Jill is just going to be doted on……more than normal.

Thought I would just keep everyone up to date…..For those of you who have countless litters under your belt, I know you think I am silly but I just can not help it…. I am excited. While I may joke around, I am being cautious, making sure I do things right, I am very serious about this process. I know that it is not all fun and games. I hope everyone knows that. It is a joyous time for us and we are going to enjoy the journey.
