I just love this idea... brought to mind to post it after I was putting the horses in for the night last night. Passed by a tree where I could see a bird nest on one of the limbs..... it was made of my horses mane and tail hairs... beautiful nest and soft....

This is Cool recycling idea... for all animal hair.....

When cleaning your pet brush out, throw the fur outside. Some types of wild birds love animal fur to line their nest. What a neat way to recycle!

Horses, dogs, cats or even your own hair brush.... (need horse smiley)

I always do this, much to hubbys dismay we now have several magpies nesting and a few native parrots as well, although the parrots are fussy about nesting material and tend to like indoor ( tree trunck crevices and holes)accomodations .
